In addition, ALPS gives caregivers time for themselves: To work, do errands, or just rest. It is a privilege to be able to help support this program through the Founders
Meet toby
Caregiver Story My young adult special needs son, Toby, had just finished his last year of school, which left me struggling to find continued care for him. It has been the perfect fit. He has structured days with fun activities, along with breakfast, lunch, and a snack. I have never worried about his happiness or care there; it is evident he is loved. He loves going to “camp”, loves the employees, and the other participants. He talks about all of them when he’s at home. Love does grow there! – Jennifer

Volunteer/Board Member/Family Caregiver Story
The ALPS Center in my opinion has been a “GodSend” to me as the caregiver of my Father. He is a very independent & social guy pre dementia and through this journey, I wanted to keep things as normal as possible. I found so much strength & courage through the resources and support of the staff at the ALPS Center. I have removed so much of his independence for safety but this has given him a daily activity, friends, place of belonging, excellent nutrition & love to make things seem so normal. All of this creates a way for me to continue to work and have the needed time to rejuvenate & have a break as well. It was the perfect piece to our puzzle! I would encourage caregivers & loved ones to just “TRY IT”. My Father started with 2 Days and now goes 5 without any hesitation! I am thankful for the opportunity to bring him to ALPS…we love this special place of belonging! Jamie Wyatt
